Plant a Tree, Leave Your Roots in Taiwan
To fight global warming and express the love for Taiwan, foreign residents and visitors to Taiwan are invited to participate in the Festival of〝Plant a Tree, Leave Your Roots in Taiwan〞, sponsored by the Environmental Protection Administration（EPA）, Executive Yuan.

I. Activity name
〝Plant a Tree, Leave Your Roots in Taiwan〞
National Taiwan Normal University－Linkou campus（College of International Studies and Education for Overseas Chinese）, located at No.2, Ren-ai Rd., Section 1, Linkou, Taipei County
February 14, 2008, Thursday（Valentine’s Day）
IV. Who are invited
Any foreign residents and visitors are cordially invited. Their family members and friends are also welcome to come along. Only 250 trees will be available, and the registration is on a first-come ， first-served basis. So, please hurry！
Free bus transportation will be provided. Routes will be announced at a later date. For a group with over 30~40 participants, a special bus can be arranged.
VI. Tree planting
Trees will be provided at the planting site. All the needed tools, fertilizers, etc., will also be provided.
The participant’s name, planting date, species name, etc., will be recorded and shown on a plate properly affixed to the tree. The information of the festival, including photos, will also be uploaded on the EPA Web site. CO2 absorbed by each tree planted at the festival will also be recorded for at least the next three years. Participants can visit the EPA Web site and find out their carbon offset as a result of this event.
